learn how to color with shadow and highlights, easily blend pencil crayons and chalks, and to explore the color schemes

colors to use” This is an excellent technique class for all those who want to brush up on their coloring skills & theory while

embossing powders, watercolor paper and card stocks will be provided.

Learn to make 3 dimensional transparent butterflies, flowers and leaves in this fun and informative class. Join Cheryl as she
demonstrates interesting and unusual techniques to add depth and texture to your pieces. You will learn how to use ink, glaze
and tissue to create colorful featherweight creatures that look as beautiful as the real thing. Bring your imagination and your
creativity. This is really a cool, fun and simple technique and a great way to learn to use some of the re-inkers, Pearl X,
glitter, and other supplies you’ve accumulated. A student kit containing acetate, tissue and instructions will be provided. It is
not necessary to bring your stamping suitcase. All inks and other materials will be supplied by the instructor.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS: a pair of sharp scissors and a heat gun if possible. Optional: Any dark color of Stayzon, a
pair of plastic gloves to protect your fingers from the ink.

TEXT AS ART View Sample

Join Cheryl Kruthaupt and explore creative techniques using text as a design element.
Old book pages, maps, newsletters and re-cycled mail can be easily turned into fabulous art. Students will work with gel
medium, golden glazes, script stamps, and stamps that contain the entire alphabet. A foundation base will be created from
text. As time permits students will cut, punch and tear sections from the foundation piece. Cheryl will provide tons of text,
stamps, paper, gel medium and glazes. This is a hands-on workshop, exploring several variations of the technique. Students
receive a kit with text papers and detailed instructions.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS: Scissors, a black dye ink pad (please no Stayzon) and a heat gun if possible. A tearing
ruler would be an excellent tool for this class, but it’s optional.

QUICK ‘N EASY WATERCOLOR CARDS View Sample

Using loose watercolor wash techniques over embossed images is quick, easy, and elegant. A variety of watercolor paints will
be explored in class with a focus on watercolor pencils and Twinkling H2o’s. Students will watercolor several images &
backgrounds and leave class with some watercolor cards they can be proud of. Watercolor pencils & paints Twinkling H20’s,
embossing powders, watercolor paper and card stocks will be provided.

TRANSPARENT BUTTERFLIES/TISSUE AND ACETATE MIXED MEDIA WORKSHOP View Sample
Instructor: Cheryl Kruthaupt
Learn to make 3 dimensional transparent butterflies, flowers and leaves in this fun and informative class. Join Cheryl as she
demonstrates interesting and unusual techniques to add depth and texture to your pieces. You will learn how to use ink, glaze
and tissue to create colorful featherweight creatures that look as beautiful as the real thing. Bring your imagination and your
creativity. This is really a cool, fun and simple technique and a great way to learn to use some of the re-inkers, Pearl X,
glitter, and other supplies you’ve accumulated. A student kit containing acetate, tissue and instructions will be provided. It is
not necessary to bring your stamping suitcase. All inks and other materials will be supplied by the instructor.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS: a pair of sharp scissors and a heat gun if possible. Optional: Any dark color of Stayzon, a
pair of plastic gloves to protect your fingers from the ink.

TEXT AS ART View Sample
Instructor: Cheryl Kruthaupt
Join Cheryl Kruthaupt and explore creative techniques using text as a design element.
Old book pages, maps, newsletters and re-cycled mail can be easily turned into fabulous art. Students will work with gel
medium, golden glazes, script stamps, and stamps that contain the entire alphabet. A foundation base will be created from
text. As time permits students will cut, punch and tear sections from the foundation piece. Cheryl will provide tons of text,
stamps, paper, gel medium and glazes. This is a hands-on workshop, exploring several variations of the technique. Students
receive a kit with text papers and detailed instructions.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS: Scissors, a black dye ink pad (please no Stayzon) and a heat gun if possible. A tearing
ruler would be an excellent tool for this class, but it’s optional.
